Putting the 5 P's all together
Here's How it Works
1. Students PREVIEW text, looking at text features to get a clue about what it might be about.
2. Students could then PREDICT what they will be learning and think about what they already know.
3. There are always so many interesting details so the student can look at all the POSSIBILITIES when choosing the important ideas.
4. Students then can PARAPHRASE when they synopsize the information into something meaningful for them.
5. Students can PICK OUT THE MOST IMPORTANT, prioritize and make decisions about how to utilize time and resources.
