Third Grade Friendship Group
Having a friend becomes very important in the third grade and continues throughout the school years. Friendship groups provide a setting for students to build relationships and connect with others. It is also a time to learn new social skills and to receive feedback from peers in a controlled environment.
Fourth Grade Friendship Group
Friendship groups offer opportunities for discussion, clarification and self awareness. By fourth grade the students begin to realize they have a choice in who are their friends. The goal of the fourth grade friendship group is to help the students define what type of friend they will choose and what type of friend they can be.
Fifth Grade Friendship Group
The friendship groups for 5th graders introduces the opportunity to examine personal social goals and behaviors. These groups are Here and Now Process Groups.
